No sound from MacBook air 2015 early

Has anybody had issues with no sound from the internal speakers and headphones on a MacBook air 2015. Mojave software is upto date.

Make sure the volume isn't muted or too low.

Try an SMC reset and PRAM reset (hold the PRAM reset for at least three chimes or a full minute so it activates several times). If you don't hear the startup chime during the PRAM reset, then you most likely have a hardware issue.

Try running the Apple Diagnostics.

If you hear the startup chime during the PRAM reset, then try booting into Safe Mode to see if the speakers and headphones work while in Safe Mode. Double-check that the audio is not muted or set too low in case you might have a corrupt preference file.
