Face ID landscape mode
Why can’t I use Face ID in landscape mode on the 3rd generation IPad Pro? It worked fine on my old 2nd generation IPad Pro. Uses the same software.

iPad Pro 2nd generation never had FaceID, so it couldn't have worked on that device.
But FaceID does work in Landscape mode on iPad Pro 3rd Generation. It works fine. Do you have a screen protector on your iPad? There is no setting for FaceID in Landscape. It just works, unless for some reason the True Depth camera is covered or blocked when you hold or use the iPad in Landscape.
FYI......FaceID does NOT work in Landscape mode on iPhone X, Xr or Xs.
