Can I control who can add me to their Find my Friends app?

In any case, if you read the support guide I posted (section: "Add a Friend"), you'll see that everyone is aware of being added (and one must agree).

Yes, you control who can add you to their Find My Friends app. When someone wants to add you they must make a request to you and you must approve. By not approving their request you prohibit them from seeing where you are.
When I don’t share my location in Find my Friends it also turns off share my location so I can’t use find my iPhone.
My daughter added me. I never received an invite to approve. Maybe an odd occurrence. Thanks!
I don't know what happened, but something could have gone wrong.
