If the ignition switch on your car is broken, how do you start the car?
There is no alternate way because the assistive touch feature is managed by iOS, and to go to recovery mode you must bypass iOS and trigger the device's firmware hardware boot process and that requires pressing two physical switches.
You can't put a phone that has a home button hardware failure into recovery mode.
You don't.
Get it fixed.
Even when Assistive Touch is enabled , the should be some kind of alternative way to do its , if not sure I’ll go to the hardware solution, but then The assistive touch useless in this important case
