If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support

If you cant recover access to it, find the box of your iPhone and the original receipt that proves that you are an owner of this iPhone, contact Support directly and ask them to unlock it for you.

If you can't provide sufficient documentation to prove you are the original purchaser of the device, then they will not remove the activation lock.

Apple doesn't charge for it, but will generally require the original purchase receipt. It's an anti-theft measure.
