Can do I disable Mission Control?

Its is extremely annoying and irritating. Is there a way to disable it so I won't accidentally create sliding desktop views? It is useless to me.

Disable Mission Control I never use it and I don't want it to be there. I am frequently finding myself looking at it because a simple gesture travelled a little too far and it is frustrating. I find nothing useful about it that cannot be done other ways and since it is intruding on me I want it gone.

Open Sys Prefs>Mission Control, uncheck all boxes except Displays have separate spaces, blank all Hot Corners.
