Bluetooth Stuttering

My bluetooth audio stutters almost constantly (when connected to multiple devices that handle other bluetooth audio sources just fine.) What's odd is that the stuttering gets significantly worse when loading pages, or performing tasks.

For instance: the audio will be playing somewhat smoothly with only occasional stuttering, but if I open a video, or a web page that has to load flash-ads, the stuttering will get so bad that the audio is rendered useless. If I close the page, all reverts back to normal (but even normal is intermittently stuttery.)

There are no interference issues, and this happens even if my bluetooth speaker is inches away from my computer.

I've tried resetting the bluetooth module. No dice.

Any ideas why loading pages and performing tasks makes the bluetooth signal go to ****? Could it be a bad bluetooth module?

Also might be worth mentioning that I only have about 5 feet of range. Beyond that, the signal stutters no matter what.

Leroy - Thanks, but looks like these links are all dealing with interference and USB issues, neither of which are relevant. I have no usb devices, nothing else connected to the speaker or computer via bluetooth, and the problem persists at any distance (inches, feet, etc.)

The stuttering is made worse by loading pages, performing tasks, opening programs etc. Not looking like an external interference issue.

You can try resetting the BT module.

From the BT icon in the upper right menu bar, hold the shift option key and click open the icon>Debug>Reset

If no success it could be a hardware issue, and in that case take it in—In or out of warranty you can get a free over the counter 'Apple Service Diagnostics' test /assessment
