My IPhone XR suddenly stopped making the noises when I type, etc. Silence. It does ring and the volume is turned up all the way. But no sounds when I type or when it sends off a message, etc. How do I turn that on? I already turned off my phone and then back on again. That did not work.

I see you're having some trouble with with the iPhone XR not making some sounds that you're using to hearing. I'll be happy to help.
As a first step, make sure that you have these sounds turned on in Settings > Sounds & Haptics. For the keyboard typing sound, turn on Keyboard Clicks. You can also turn on "Sent Mail" to hear a sound when sending off an email. If you're still not hearing these sounds even though they're on, make sure that Do Not Disturb is turned off by going to Settings > Do Not Disturb.
