Adding comments to photos on iCloud shared albums

Is there a way to add comments to existing shared photo albums without causing a notice to everyone sharing the album?

I see you want to know if there's a way to add a comment to existing photos silently. I'd be happy to provide more information about this.

It is not possible to comment on a shared photo album without notifying the other subscribers: iCloud: Comment on photos in shared albums in iCloud

"If you own a shared photo album, you receive a notification when a subscriber adds a comment to or likes a photo or video in your shared album. If you are a subscriber to a shared album, you receive notifications when another subscriber has commented on or liked a photo or video only if you’ve already commented on it or liked it."

Thank you MoonJ for the prompt and clear response. You answered my question. It’s not a big deal, but every time I set up a shared photo album from various devices I run into questions. I’ve developed a method of setting up a private album first, sorting and editing photos there before creating a shared album on iCloud. It would make sense to add descriptive comments on the photos in the private album first, but I don’t see a way to do that.
