iTunes gift card won’t work

I went to redeem my iTunes gift card valued at $15. I tried to redeem it but using the camera to enter the code. It took the picture, it then asked me to sign into iTunes which I did and then it said it was redeemed. When I checked my balance the $15 was not added. I then tried to enter the code manually and it said the code has already been redeemed.
