I cannot get my iphone to turn off. I tried to hard reset it but it wont?? I have a I phone 10

If iPhone isn’t responding, and you can’t turn it off and on, try forcing it to restart.

If I could slide the switch I could turn it off without the shut down!

the slide function freezes, obviously I can type and point, but can’t slide the off switch
