There are third party apps on App Store (Freeware) which can do exactly hat you are looking for. Any naming of the app here may be deemed as an advertisement, hence you need to look for it yourself. I have one such app on my iPhone 6.

I had this question also. It’s disappointing to have a top of the line smartphone & have to keep downloading apps for simple functions a smart phone should be able to perform on it’s own. Even if the app is free, its just something else taking up space.
