Apple watch trade in

I just got the apple watch 4 about 10 days ago, would I have to return the series 4 and re buy the series 5? or can I trade it in?

You have up to 14 days to return the Watch for full credit as long as you bring it in with proof of purchase. Then you can purchase the Series 5.
