How do i download and install Microsoft Office on my MacBook Pro with OS X 10.11.6

You buy it. MS Office has never been a free download.


However, the current versions of Office for Mac, Office 2019 or Office 365, will not run on any mac OS older than 10.12.


If you really need Office you can see if your OS can be upgraded above the current 10.11. Do "About this Mac" from your Apple menu and post what you find there for "sub-model":


Older MBPs may not be able to run any higher OS version.


The free productivity suite LibreOffice is a full-featured program that can read and write Office formats. Its current version will run under macOS 10.11 if you cannot upgrade your OS version:
