I'm interested in buying an Apple watch series 5 but in the keynote they said the apple watch is available from the 20th September, when I go to order one it says 6-7 weeks untill it is shipped!
Could do with some advice as I'm not sure in which one is correct!

Both are correct. They are referring to different things.
You can order now through the website, and it will take around 6-7 weeks to get to you.
On September 20th they'll be available for purchase at physical stores. One date is not related to the other.

It possibly that they have sold the initial batch and now there is a waiting list
