i just cant see/find my airpods (IOS 12.1.4) on "find my iPhone" app. i can see both my iphone and my apple watch there but not the airpods - i've tried in and out of the case.. any ideas?

thank you for your quick response. however my airpods are lost (and hopefully wont ever :)
the issue is that i cant seeqfind them on "find my iphone" app - the device (airpods) isnt recognized and i dont know why
Well, I don’t know why either. The article above will explain why. The article contains all the details about the setup required to view the AirPods in Find My iPhone. Clearly since the AirPods are currently lost, it’s too late to set them up now. So the “why” doesn’t matter, except as a learning experience for next time.
