Jen,
Amazon Alexa has the ability to play music from streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music. But she does not have the ability (yet) to reach into your iTunes library.

Hello Wally,
That sounds like it would be technically feasible, since the songs would be accessible in the cloud. You may want to pitch it to the iTunes suggestion box ( http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html ) and its Amazon equivalent.
Also, you do have the option of setting up the Echo as a bluetooth speaker. That will allow you to stream music from your library, although you will not be able to control it with Alexa.
Ed.
I don't believe this is totally correct, is it? As long as you have an Apple Music subscription and the Apple music skill enabled you can do some things. You can even play some of your playlists if they are published though I have found this is super flakey.
I think it would be really awesome if Amazon Alexa would be able to be used with an iTunes Match subscription rather than just an Apple Music subscription. I am already subscribing to match which allows me to stream my music why can’t I stream it to my Alexa devices? Should be able to be done. Just my two cents.😊
Thanks,

I had the same Q -- found the following == https://www.lifewire.com/play-itunes-using-alexa-4582456 -- describes "Stream iTunes Music With Alexa" - and basically you use Bluetooth == again, I think it's basically setting up a streaming method,
Victoria,
Yes, the "Stream iTunes..." section of that article explains how to set up the Echo as a Bluetooth-connected speaker. As noted earlier in this thread, it can stream music as you play iTunes, but cannot respond to voice requests (other than start and stop).
AH! I just got it to stream my iTunes so just figured that out --drat! It probably would require an Amazon Echo/Dot voice change not a change to iTunes, since the request to Alexa goes to it and not thru iTunes....Thanks much.
James, Yes, "as long as you have an Apple Music subscription."
I would like to be able to play my ITunes on my Alexas.

Jeannie,
If you have a subscription to Apple Music, you can add it as a skill to Alexa.
I try to connect and it asks for a subscription? Subscription to what?
