Two-Factor authentication for Apple ID in Myanmar

I can't use 2FA for my Apple ID in Myanmar on Mac Pro.

As per in the availability list of 2FA, Myanmar is there.

Hi Van Bawi Thang,

Thank you for posting. I understand you might be running into some issues setting up two-factor authentication.

Can you clarify what happens when you try? If you're seeing an error, what does it say?

I see you've confirmed Availability of two-factor authentication for Apple ID in your region. Have you double-checked these requirements as well?

"Who can turn on two-factor authentication?

Two-factor authentication is available to iCloud and iTunes users with at least one device that's using the latest iOS or macOS. Here are the minimum recommended system requirements for all devices that you use with your Apple ID:

  • iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch that uses a passcode, with iOS 9 and later
  • Mac with OS X El Capitan and iTunes 12.3 and later
  • Apple Watch with watchOS 2 and later
  • Apple TV HD with tvOS
  • Windows PC with iCloud for Windows and iTunes 12.3.3 and later

We also recommend that you have a valid credit card on file in your account. This information may be requested to help verify your identity if you forget your password.

While most iCloud users can now turn on two-factor authentication, certain account types may still be ineligible at Apple’s discretion."

Hopefully this helps!

You have opened system preferences > iCloud > clicked on account details , enter the Apple ID and password ( for secondary authentication account ) , under security section > if you click on turn on two factor authentication , if you are trying to enter a new trusted number ( it has to be verified ) and updated in the account .

The second way is in your Apple ID account the trusted number can be updated this article is for two step verification and your question is for 2FA , but don't be confused see the step how to edit and add a new trusted number .

Click on edit and click on get started .

I don't understand what you mean for "still using secondary authentication account". If I click on Edit and Get Started on 2FA. I get "What is 2FA". If i click "Continue", I get "How to Turn On 2FA". It only have "Done" button. It has following instruction "On your Mac with OS X El Capitan or later:

  1. Go to  > System Preferences > iCloud
  2. Sign in if necessary, then click Account Details.
  3. Click Security.
  4. Click Turn On Two-Factor Authentication.

A device passcode is required to turn on two-factor authentication.:

Thats all. No place to add phone number. The phone number can add only on Payment and Shipping address. I don't add any payment option.

Thanks
