Series 3 watch Wi-Fi connectivity

If I have my series 3 Apple Watch & do not have my phone with me will my watch automatically connect to a Wi-Fi network that I have joined in the past, using my phone?

Yes as long as it’s not public Wi-fi or needs a passcode.
