Panic Report "a freed zone element has been modified in zone kalloc.4096..."

An Imac at the office keeps giving us trouble from time to time when turning on. It will restart 5 or 6 times in a row and when it finally starts we get a panic error. Not sure what to do about it.

it is an iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2009) that got a new ssd recently and updated software.

Sounds like Drive and/or RAM problems.

Try this...

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

You should start your own new post so you are not intermixing with suggestions for relesys224

When you start your own new post, include the Panic report.

Look for the Kernel Panic reports at:

Finder -> Go -> Go to Folder -> /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports

<http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2546>

<http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT200553>

The panic report should have ".panic" in the file name.
