Data Lost - IPhone X

I lost my data on IPhone X while making backup to Itunes. Is it possible to recover it?

Making a backup does not alter any data on the phone. Are you sure you didn't accidentally choose restore? If you did, that completely overwrites the contents of the phone with the contents of the backup you restored.

If you don't have a backup of the data you're missing, it's gone.
