GarageBand IOS problem

I have been trying to use my usb mic in garage band for iOS and when I plug it up the blue light shows on the mic but when I turn on monitoring I can’t hear my self or the beat I am trying to record too. When I unplug the microphone I can hear the beat and monitoring works for the built in mic on the iPad.

Input monitoring while playing the recorded track I have enabled input monitoring on the channel I'm using for vocals. The singer wants to hear some reverb (and is OK with the latency). On headphones we can hear the reverb when the track is stopped and when we are actually recording onto the track but cannot hear any reverb if I press 'play' without recording (i.e. when practising). I've tried using the reverb as an audio effect on the channel, as a send (using a bus) and I've tried sending the whole signal via a bus. None of these seem to make any difference. Can anyone help?

Live listen feature and external mic issue with GarageBand. I would like an option to turn this off entirely so that GarageBand is the only source for live listening. just recently i discovered that my voice could be heard in two places at once: iPad and while using GarageBand. if it went away while using garageband, this wouldn’t be such an issue. i tried turning it off but to no avail.

Using external mic in IOS (IPad pro 2017) When connecting a USB external mic to iPad through USB port (which works perfectly fine for connecting other gadgets, namely an MPK), the ipad keeps on using the internal mic, disregarding the external. The mic is working fine and is perfectly powered while connected to the USB port . Just the iPad does not seem to acknowledge nor establish an audio input to it. Is there a way to sort this issue? I was looking mainly into using the external mic with GarageBand.
