Has anyone ever heard of Intego MAC Security and Antivirus Software
Intego, which has been around since 1997 and is based in the United States (Seattle, WA) has been around since 1997. They claim that MACs are not immune to viruses, etc.
I had an issue with a kernel panic that was partially related to another AV solution that I no longer have on my machine. I inquired about Malwarebytes, both the free version and paid version. A lot of other MAC users were very helpful in their responses of that MAC has excellent security and doesn't need an AV solution.
My kids use the computer for school, occasional games and we use it for online banking and purchases. I am still not in any immediate hurry to make a decision, as I don't want to experience another kernel panic.
I have only been a personal MAC user for the last four years, so I am still learning and trying to get educated. My personal computer for 20 years was Windows based.
Any thoughts, etc. would be most helpful for me. Thank you.
