How much Ram do I need for Logic Pro X

Hi everyone,

I have a 2010 imac at the moment with 16 GB of Ram which I use to run Logic Pro X but I am thinking of upgrading to a newer model probably something from 2017 with these typical specs (see below) and I just wondered whether a 2017 imac with 8 GB of Ram will be enough to run Logic Pro X successfully?

2.3GHz dual-core 7th-generation Intel Core i5 processor

Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz

8GB 2133MHz memory, configurable to 16GB

1TB hard drive1

Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640

Two Thunderbolt 3 ports

1920x1080 sRGB display

And how important is the processor? Will having a dual core processor like in the above spec be enough?
