Iphone 8 plus charging problem

I have problem with charging my phone after it was been in water few minutes (not deeper than 50 cm). At first it wont charge for few hours but thats okay because it needs to dry charging port.. but problem is after few days, when i put them on charger, it charges few minutes then stop. When i unplug charger then again plug it happens nothing, but when i turn off the phone until they are on charger and turn on after 2-3 hours phone was fully charged...
