Hi, I was wondering why movies are only available to rent for a limited time. Later you can only buy them for double to triple the price, which I do not need.
It's the film's righst-holder's decision, they decide how their films are available, for how long, and their price.
Thanks, King_penguin. This could be more out there, because it is quite frustrating. I guess I will have to switch to some other streaming service, as this makes it quite frustrating, when you decide with your kids, to watch a movie in some future point and then you need to buy it for triple the price, rent is for, just because someone decided this. I do not feel the urge to get some server to download and buy all the movies available, just because I want to watch it once.
Why is the rent option for movies only for a Limited Time available and later only to buy?
