I recently signed out of my Apple ID in my iPhone and signed into my friends account and did not merge anything... then when I signed back into my account most of my iCloud photos are not there but when I check my iCloud storage it shows that 53GB photos are available... any help on how I can get my photos back?

Try Settings/Your Name/iCloud and slide off syncing. Wait a few minutes and then slide syncing on. Allow time for syncing to occur.

Last resort - have you tried signing out of iCloud and then sign back in?
