Cracked /broken IPhone 8 plus screen

My screen hot broken or cracked down around the home button.

How much would it cost me to repair seeing I have no apple care?

After its been repaired would any other functions n be affected? Like the waterproof function?

What's the process and duration of the repair? I am based in the UK.
