facetime calls without wifi

when trying to make a facetime call without wifi my phone says “ connect to a wifi network to use facetime” can i change this?

I see that you're trying to use FaceTime on cellular and you're getting a connection error. I'd be happy to help out.


In this situation, I'd like for you to take a look at these steps:


If you can't make a FaceTime call on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support


"If you're trying to use FaceTime over cellular, make sure that Use Cellular Data is on for FaceTime. Go to Settings and tap Cellular or tap Mobile Data, then turn on FaceTime. If you're using an iPad, you might see Settings > Cellular Data."
