I was given an iPad Air a1475 and want to stop wifi turning on automatically. I do not have the ID or password right now and while setting up the iPad(I did not know that I needed the owner's Id and password and can't get it right now)and now I can't turn off the wifi . It's on all the time and it's eating all my wifi time.
I just want to disconnect automatic wifi.
Help, please?

The iPad is locked with Activation Lock. There is no way around unlocking Activation Lock without inserting the device’s associated Apple ID. If this is not an option you will have to find the original receipt for the device that clearly shows the serial number. Once you have this document you can have Apple unlock your iPad.
You can power iPad off by simultaneously pressing the Sleep/Wake Button and Home Buttons until the display turns off. Do not connect the iPad to power as this will cause iPad to turn back on.
