Synch iPhone 7 Photos to Windows 10 Pro PC Photos app

When I connect iPhone 7 with latest IOS, to Windows 10 Pro PC, &

open Win10 Photos app, I AM able to click Import, then From A USB

Device, then Apple iPhone, and it finds 6914 items. Stops there &

does not download items. NO request to trust the computer is presented.

Always stops at "6914 items found so far". Help!!
