Family sharing storage isnt sharing

My 500G storage plan (the 2.99 plan) isn’t sharing. I have used about 50G, over 2k pics and 600 videos...my husband has about 10 videos, 600 pics, 0 text messages, and it keeps telling him yo delete pics or messages for updates or to make more space on his phone to take a picture. How is this possible if we have so much available storage? I made sure all family sharing options were checked off.

Hello!

Sounds like your husband's iPhone might be out of iPhone storage which is separate from the iCloud storage and that is why he is receiving those errors.

I would have him check his iPhone Storage in Settings > General > iPhone Storage and if low or out, clear some space up. Then, he will want to go to Settings > Your Name > iCloud > Manage Storage to make sure the shared Family iCloud storage is showing. Also, that he is syncing/backing up to iCloud.
