how do you pay online without an iphone? the scenario is accessing a website through another device (for me it would be a chromebook in my office) and needing to pay with Apple Card. It doesn't look like the card/account # is on the physical card.

You can get the card number by going to Wallet>Apple Card>tap on the three dots in the top right corner and tapping card info. You do not need to request a new number.

The Apple Credit Card is digital (the titanium card is linked digitally to the phone) and the number if compromised can be changed but they do not need to change the number if it is not compromised. You cannot export Apple Card data or make payments any other way than what is described here - How to make Apple Card payments - Apple Support
welafever, this page is talking about bill payments. The instructions I gave show how to get the credit card number. The card would be useless if you couldn't use it online on a website that doesn't take Apple Pay or on a computer that's not a Mac. You can look this up 😁
