Hot Corner Lock Screen option(s) not working

Hot Corner Lock Screen option(s) not working

I experience a twofold problem when setting up a hot corner using my new MacBook pro.

1: When showing the options to select a hot corner: Lock Screen is there two times. What is the difference between the two? (Notice one of these options has an icon)

2: Both of the lock screen options do not work. (IE nothing happens when i go to the selected corner and lock screen is selected for this corner)

How can I make the top left corner go to Lock Screen?

Using macOS Mojave

Version 10.14.6

MacBook Pro

I just found the problem (and a bug).

Before i set up Hot Corners I added a shortcut in Keyboard settings under App Shortcuts for Lock Screen.

After removing this shortcut, only one Lock Screen option is available in the Hot Corner options and the Hot Corner Lock Screen is working.

Option-click the "Go" menu in the Finder and select "Library". Navigate to the "Preferences" folder and delete the "com.apple.screensaver.plist". After deleting this file the screensaver and hot corners will be reset to macOS defaults. I recently had to do this myself.

After removing the com.apple.screensaver.plist file from the Preferences folder (and rebooting) the screensaver and hot corners are not reset to macOS defaults.

Any other suggestions?
