I have spent the last 3 hours trying to submit a photo for an indian visa, aghh!! It has to be JPEG and the size is minimum 10kb maximum 1MB. I have a photo in my iphotos taken with a digital camera, how do i find out what the size is now and how do i change it to the size needed.

thanks

Control-click on the photo and select Get Info. The file size will be displayed in the information box.

If it is not the correct size, select the photo and do a File/Export photo to your desktop. Open it with the Preview app on

your Mac. In the Preview menu, select Tools/Adjust size. In the box that appears there will be a dimensions box. Adjust the larger dimension to 1000 or so, and save the photo. Then do a Contol-click, Get Info, on the photo's icon and check the size. If still not in the correct range, open it again in Preview and adjust the size as necessary.

Thank you all. I finally managed to do it. it is a simple operation for those who are computer literate, but it has taken me 4-6 hours in total to apply for an Indian visa.

Am i right to say that you need to resize a jpg image first, and only when that is saved convert it to a PDF ?

anyway thanks for all the help.
