apple id disabled

I can get to itunes but Each time I try to get to my account, I get a message that tells me the Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons. They give no redirection to remedy this. Any thoughts?

I am also having this same problem. All of a sudden today, when I went to update my apps from my iPhone, I got this message, "Your Apple ID has been disabled." Not "for sucurity reasons" like in other threads- just exactly how we have both written it here. I have reset my password multiple times, restarted my iPhone, my computer, etc and have pressed the "reset all warnings for buying and downloading" under the iTunes account tab (only because I couldn't think of anything else to try) but currently, I cannot download new apps or update any of the apps on my phone or through the Mac App Store on my MacBook Pro (getting that same message each time) and it is pretty frustrating because I would really like to get my phone's updates but there are also a few new programs I was going to buy today from the Mac App Store and I may not be in the same mood to buy later on.. I've noticed there are a few threads very similar to this one that have been posted as recently as in the last week or so so this obviously is not an isolated problem/ incident. Can an Apple Admin or Tech Support person please weigh in and help us out to get this solved? After all, we are only trying to buy more apps and update the ones we already own for Pete's sake! Help would be greatly appreciated! None of the common solutions have worked for me and I want to get the problem resolved as soon as possible. Thanks.

same here "Apple ID is Disabled" - but can log in & out, view account details, just not purchase songs, even free downloads (either using iPhone or PC)

A few days ago I was unable to log in as iTunes didn't recognise my proper password & forced me to change it, now a couple of days later I can log in but not buy!

(p.s. I realise this is Mac thread, but it's iTunes causing the issue)

This is the problem I am having. I added multiple entries for it yesterday. Loaded up the forum if you will so it will stand out.

Things that work: I can sync my iPhone, iPad, and the Macs in my house that use home sharing. I specifically deleted all the iPhone / iPad Apps on one machines iTunes Library and told it to sync items not in my library and it did. Local manipulation of the Apps is not an issue.

The one place where this has an impact is on the iTunes store and the ability to purchase or update iTunes store products.

Before I leave for work today I will turn off sync on all my computers for Mobile Me as well as turn off family sharing. I will stop my iPhone and iPad from syncing with Mobile Me as well. I will shut off my iPhone and iPad as well. Then I will contact Apple for support on this issue via Apple care.
