Windows on MacBook Air (7,2) and possibility of switching back to MacOS

Hello there :)

I'm not happy creating this post, but none from our internal IT Support has answered me.

I'm having MBAir running OS X Mojave. Because of work, I need to install windows and delete OS X -> it will be under control of our IT Support.

So, if I'll do it, is there a way, how to get back OS X? :) I've googled it, but there was no precise answer with description of process. I want to be 100% sure it is possible and can be done at home :)

Thanks for answers, and optionally for guides (How-To).

You most definitely do not need to delete macOS.

To install Microsoft Windows on your Mac, start here: Install Windows 10 on your Mac with Boot Camp Assistant ...

Then, you can start your Mac with either Windows or macOS: Start up your Mac in Windows or macOS with Boot Camp. No need to delete either one.

Your MBAir should be able to boot into Internet Recovery Mode using Command + Option + R to install the most recent version of macOS compatible with your system. You can test this to see if the installer provided gives you Mojave.

You can also create a bootable macOS USB installer using these instructions. Make sure to test the USB drive boots just to be safe.

You will need to use Disk Utility to erase the drive as GUID partition and MacOS Extended (Journaled) before reinstalling macOS. You may be able to select the APFS file system instead of converting HFS+ during the Mojave install.
