Broken screen/screen glitch

The problem started when I was watching YouTube, I was laying in my bed and I decided to move my bag on the floor because my feet kept hitting it. So I click the space bar to pause the video, get up and move my bag. Though as I sit down my screen is black, thinking nothing of it I reset my MacBook and a hair thin crack was at the top middle of my screen , only when it is one though.

I have never dropped it, or done anything to damage my MacBook.

I am asking if the only way to fix it is a full screen replacement.

It is a 2018 model

My camera is covered by the reflective tape for reference of where the crack is.
