Purchased Movie Not in 4K

I have a movie that shows as Purchased in the Apple iTunes Store and it is showing as HD format only but I know there is a 4K format available. How can I redeem the 4K version without repurchasing the movie? The movie is How to Train Your Dragon

This day the info when playing the film indicated HD, thought I believed I was still watching the 4k version. The basis start info over the movie tells that this is the 4k version. Buying a Movie In the Apple iTunes store, the movie "Dora and the Lost City of Gold" sells for $15, with no indication about the resolution quality. In the Google Play store, the same movie sells for $15 for HD resolution, and $20 for 4K resolution. So, does this mean that the 4K version is not available in the Apple iTunes store? 4k Movie Updates It is my understanding that Apple rolled out a feature around the release of its 4k TV where they would update a movie from HD to 4k if it was purchased through the iTunes store. However, my question is this: If I purchase a movie now (2021), through the iTunes store, and the highest quality available for purchase currently is HD, if 4k quality becomes available for purchase will Apple automatically update my HD purchase?

That’s going to be different for each company though, right? When the 4K Apple TV first came out, Apple stayed there would be a free 4K content update once available. I am seeing other purchases I made from 2013 and 2015 where my movies are in 4K. So what gives?

If you originally bought HD there is not a way to get for free the 4K one, they are different copyrights for the different formats so you would have to buy the 4K one to have that format too.
