The go to way for battery management is Try resetting the  SMC  https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295

Verify your battery is in Normal condition—hold the option key and click the battery icon in the upper right menu bar—anything but "Condition: Normal" needs to be serviced.

Why not use the overnight as an opportunity to connect the MacBook Pro charger and top off its charge. Your Mac is not likely to need to be moved about unless you do a lot of sleepwalking.

Your premium quality MacBook Pro has built-in protections, and will never over-charge, no matter how long you leave it connected.

Problem, no. We are trying to resolve your battery issue.

Resetting the SMC is the only way to reset the battery management.

Upgrading is not a know solution to this problem, but it makes their job at apple support simpler. Upgrading solves a lot of other problems.

The SMC Reset procedure article is complicated. You must select the correct version for your exact computer, and do it according to the EXACT directions in the SMC article, or nothing happens and no improvement.

I have the same issue.

Macbook pro 2017 13" with touch bar.

the problem began since I upgraded to Mojave 10.14.6.

I upgraded only to install Xcode 11.

since then the battery drain about 7-8% each hour while lid is closed. the machine get warm while sleeping.

all application are closed. (the adapter is unplugged)

Tried all sort of things recommended in forums like disable bluetooth and changing the sleeping mode to 25.

still battery drain and it is very frustrating.

before the upgrade all was OK.

Unless you do a lot of sleepwalking, plugging it in overnight while you continue to look for a solution is a really good work-around.

something is wrong, and I'm sure it wasn't like that before the upgrade.

I found the solution for my problem:

open terminal and write: sudo pmset -b tcpkeepalive 0

this will deactivate the tcpkeepalive feature.
