Something to keep in mind: RAM/memory in a MacBook Pro is not upgradeable, and the selection at our Costco had the entry level 8GB RAM. Make sure you have enough RAM now because you cannot add it later. It will be your "forever RAM."
I would not consider any MBP with less than 16GB RAM. We don't know what future macOS versions and apps may demand, but the need for more RAM has trended up for decades.
Appreciate the advice. Unfortunately the budget will not allow for more. If I want more memory, my option is a Thinkpad with Windows. My needs are not very intensive, office work, web browsing, etc. No photo or video editing. My biggest concern was making sure I got the 2019 version and not the 2018.
Thank you! I just wanted to make sure since the Costco pricing is very favorable and I assumed it was a 2018 because of that pricing.
