If I get the 50GB storage plan, am I paying every month to keep that 50GB or am I paying to get a new 50GB every month?

Are you asking if the first month is 50GB, second is 100GB and so on?

The answer there is no. Your payment for 50GB is for a consistent 50GB. You can pay more money for more storage.
