Missing pop3 email sent folder at IOS13

People ending here I suggest to read the older messages in this thread regarding the POP3 issues in IOS13 (and 13.1, 13.1.1 and 13.1.2).

Summary of the PO3 mail issue:

• Sent folder is initially missing.
• Waste bin is initially missing.
• Concepts folder is initially missing.
• After re-creating the POP3 account multiple times and / or sending and deleting e-mails, the Sent folder and Waste bin usually appear and work.
• The Concept folder may appear but does not work (after saving a draft e-mail, the e-mail disappears and the Concept folder stays empty).

Also be aware that Apple does not read this forum.

Everyone facing the issue please report it to Apple Support your self to make them aware of the extent of the problem.

I have had the same issue since I updated, took it to the apple store, they said, it's cause I set up the email incorrectly which is bunk, I deleted and recreated my pop account several times, each time there are no other mailboxes other than the inbox. Never saves Drafts, there is no Sent Mailbox to show what you sent. I have an iPhone 7s, and before iOs13, it all worked just fine. This is definitely and Apple bug that needs to be fixed quickly.

Rolling back to 12.4.1 gave me back my sent box, anything 13 and up still takes it away. This is a joke.

Hey, it worked for me too. I just deleted a spam email and the sent folder came back. It was empty except for the email I just sent though. Annoying!

After the upgrade to IOS 13.0 POP3 e-mail is screwed on my iPhone 6S, the 13.1 update did not change the mail app behavior.

Similar as written in the thread:

• Inbox is there and functional.
• Wastebin and Concepts folder appear and disappear, I can not determine what exactly makes them appear and disappear again.
• New written e-mail that is only saved does never get actually saved in the Concept folder and seems to be lost.
• After the upgrade to IOS 13.0 I have not seen the Sent folder anymore, sending e-mails does work though, no idea if and how they are stored on the phone.
• The Wastebin only seems to appear after deleting an e-mail, after emptying the Wastebin, the Wastebin seems to disappear after a while.
• Deleting and creating the pop3 account or rebooting the phone does not fix the issue.

This is really disappointing and frustrating, a very bad act of Apple for such a primary smart phone function.

I have reported and discussed the issue with Apple support.

It seems the issue is already logged in their system, like suggested by cin_city I still recommend everyone to report the issue individual to Apple support to make them aware of the number of people facing the problem.

Mysteriously as I read through all these posts, I was playing with the settings in the Pop3 account and just opening and closing the mail account settings. I went back to mail and poof, there was the Sent and Trash folders. Crazy, this should never have happened with 13.0, and even after I installed 13.1, it still was not right. Now it is. Weird huh?

Correct. What everyone needs to do is to open a case with Apple. Apple don't read this discussion group. The more cases that are brought to their direct attention the sooner they will act to fix the issue. It's no use us discussing amongst ourselves. It's definitely a software issue that Apple need to address and fix.

Yes right, this whole thread is discussing the POP e-mail issues in IOS13 up to IOS13.1.3.

In general most or all users are able to get the Inbox, Sent and Trash folders back and working.

Saving a draft e-mail seems not to work, the Drafts folder may appear but stays empty.

Please report your issue to Apple Support, mentioning your issue here is not enough to make Apple aware of the extent of the issue.

I eventually changed my server options

did all of the above

after a while sent, bin, drafts reappeared

no old sent mail returned

I have changed my server option back to original options and everything has remained.

Have you tried starting an email and saving the draft then check to see if it’s in you POP drafts folder. Let me know. Bet it’s not there.

Please report this to apple. They don't read these discussions. I have exactly the same problem as you. The more reports they receive, the more likely they will act and fix the problem.

Sounds crazy but the suggestion to email a photo but save as a draft and then creating another draft worked for me
