Emoji with iOS4!!!!

Question

Emoji with iOS4!!!!

Have these been here forever or are they brand new? Whatever it is they're amazing! Go into Settings > General > Keyboard > International Keyboards > Add New Keyboard and select Emoji. I can now text smiley faces and millions of other tiny pictures! Was everyone aware of this??

That's pretty cool. Not to troll or anything, but the Android phone I'm still using (at least until Apple fixes the iPhone 4) has been able to do that since the day I got it. :P

Not finding an Emoji option there. Did you add it?

I dont know why you guys dont have it. I have a 3GS (not jailbroken) running iOS4. Weird.

if at one point you had the iEmoji app, you can delete the app but the Emoji keyboard remains.

This explains why you have it and others don't.

Thanks! I looked at the apps and most/all say they don't work with the iPh4 yet.

I've used the "Typing Genius" app on my iPhone 4 and that works to add the emoji option.

I bought a 99 cent emoji app on my 3G phone 2 months ago and it worked just fine. it gave instructions for after you install the app. When I switched from the 3G phone to the 4, it still works just fine.

Spell Number gives you the Emoji characters. It's free
Google the app to find the Easter Egg number to type in for the keyboard to be enabled

I have the iPhone 4 and I just figured it out on how to add the keyboard. Download the emoji app, open the app and it installs the keyboard to your phone, then you go to settings, general, internationa and add new keyboard and emoji is there.
