Apple Support Scam

Has anyone received a call from someone posing as an Apple Support person, stating that My IP Address had been compromised? And tried to get you to buy a $500 Security Card at Best Buy. I even received a Bogus Case ID #. What an elaborate ruse.

Not only elaborate, but non-sensical. How would Apple ever even know your IP was compromised? Your ISP might contact people with issues with their IP, but Apple certainly wouldn’t. Apple has nothing at all to do with what IP any of your devices are ever using since Apple isn’t an INternet Service Provider. Neither is BestBuy.
