iPhone XR Overheating

My new iPhone XR is constantly overheating with light use. It gets hot near the bottom of the display right above the charge port. I’ve cleared all background applications, restarted the phone and updated it multiple times yet it still overheats. I’m on iOS 13 right now but it was heating before the update. Please help. Thanks.
