Is there a TECHNICAL Work-around for disabled 3rd party Safari extensions?

I'm wondering if anyone in the Support Community has a technical fix or work-around for Apple's latest new creativity restriction introduced in Safari 13, that is disabling all non Apple controlled 3rd party apps? Is it possible, for example, to disable the disable?

In particular I need Zotero to work. Zotero is a great non-profit user-driven application that supports research by organizing citations (bibliography). It is free so they have to keep costs down - all in our interest as users, a philosophy Apple once had but now appears to be abandoning. The message seems to be like the Borg: "You will be assimilated; resistance is useless". In fact, a previous comment I posted to the support community was removed - censored. I assume it was flagged by computer because it is hard to get people to respond to such issues. So, I'm re-writing it as a technical question, as per their rationale for removing it (I admit it was a bit of a rant).

IS THERE ANY WAY TO GET THE PREVIOUS ZOTERO PLUGIN TO WORK IN SAFARI 13?

From Zotero:

"Zotero is an independent open-source project, and it depends on the support of its users and developer community. Whether it’s requesting new features, reporting bugs, encouraging institutional adoption, contributing code, or developing tools or plugins, there is an important role for you to play in Zotero’s present and future...Zotero’s development and operating costs are funded entirely by individual and institutional Zotero storage subscriptions."

"The Zotero Connector for Safari is currently unavailable for download, and existing installations will stop working if you upgrade to Safari 13. Existing installations will continue to work in Safari 12.

We're currently evaluating our options for best supporting Safari users going forward. Follow @zotero on Twitterfor updates... In the meantime, you can use either the Zotero Connector for Firefox or Chrome or the Zotero Bookmarklet in Safari."

Is Apple "currently evaluating our options for best supporting Safari users going forward"?  I think not.
