Use iTunes Balance to Purchase Songs

I have a balance on my account left over from a redeemed gift card. How do I use the balance to purchase songs. For some reason, I'm not able to. Thanks!

I was hoping that was the case, but when I try to buy a song, it asks me to sign in (which I do), then asks me to update my expired credit card (which I try to do, but it doesn't accept my security code...sigh). I don't why I need to update this when all I ever use are gift cards, but I just can't get past this sequence.

You simply make a purchase. iTunes will use any gift card balance first.
Select a song the click Buy.

For some reason, I'm not able to.

Would you explain a bit more?

Just select None instead if entering a new card.
IEspecially if you don't use your card, I suggest not leaving it in iTunes.

What if you have a 25 cent balance on a gift card. I need to spend it in order to change may country profile on my account. (I moved out of the country. Does anything cost 25 cents on itunes?
