Memoji Stickers in WhatsApp

My Memoji stickers don’t send like stickers in WhatsApp, they send like pictures.. does anybody know what’s wrong and how can I fix this? 🥺

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!

I see from your post that your Memoji stickers are sending as pictures through WhatsApp instead of actual stickers.

Make sure that your iPhone software is up-to-date: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Also, make sure that WhatsApp is completely up-to-date by following the steps in this article: Update apps or use automatic downloads

Hey!, so basically the only thing that worked for me was deleting WhatsApp and installing it again. Literally the ONLY thing that worked after trying different things. If you’re gonna try this make sure to back-up your WhatsApp chats. Hope it works for you too!

I have the same problem. iOS and WhatsApp up to date. Memoji icon cannot be incorporated into message, sends as a separate image. Memoji icon does, however, incorporate into a text SMS message. My wife has the same phone and iOS and WhatsApp, but her Memoji incorporates into WhatsApp message. Is there a setting on my phone that may be set differently??
