Camera not working after IOS 13

I updated my iPhone X to IOS 13 today and for some reason, it disabled my camera. Prior to today, I did have an issue with the Face Id feature as I dropped the phone a couple of months ago and it stopped working but everything else was ok. I tried rebooting the phone 4 times and still only have a black screen, regardless of what mode I try to use, i.e., photo, portrait, video, etc. I tried to add Camera to the shortcut feature and received a message stating the device didn't have a camera!???? How can an IOS update disable my camera? I tried to restore it to the back up I made prior to the update but the phone is still on IOS 13 and not the previous version. I don't know if that would have made a difference but I'm desperate to get my camera working again. I really can't afford a new phone.

Your camera must have been damaged as a result of the drop.

Visit an Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service Center. Let them assess the iPhone and advise you how to proceed.

Please do not provide a statement nothing but nonsense.

The camera had been fix in IOS 13.1.2

If we would have listen to you that the camera was damaged result of drop, it could already cost us a alot money

Same thing happened to me.. no drop however. Camera wont take pics and i can no longer use siri or use the phone. I can make or receive calls, but cant hear the caller and the caller cant hear me. All immediately after updating to 13.2.

But the camera functioned after the drop, which occured 2 months ago. It's very odd it stopped working after the update.

There have been times that I have observed when new software better enforces rules that are in place that older software does not enforce quite as well.

The defect has been there all along.

I changed the IOS back to 12.4.1 and the camera is working. Very strange that the IOS can manipulate the physical camera function.

I updated my Iphone X to IOS 13.1.2

(I had front and rear camera black screen when i updated my phone to IOS 13)

This bug / problem had been solved when i updated my IOS to 13.1.2

I had the same issue. I called Apple Support and its a known issue after the update. You need to call Apple Support and they can run a Mobile Diagnostic on the device.

I had to download the 12.4.1 IOS version to my computer and then used iTunes to upload to the iPhone. If you google how to downgrade the ios you should find instructions.
